Student Registration

Welcome to Telluride School District R-1

 

OUT-OF-DISTRICT APPLICANTS: Please note that per Colorado Statute and Telluride School District Policy JFBB and Regulation JFBB-R, enrollment will only be approved if sufficient space exists after all in-district students are enrolled. This determination will not be made until August. Please see Policy JFBB and Regulation JFBB-R for more details. Falsification of residency for purposes of enrollment is considered fraud against a government entity and can lead to felony charges.

 

 

New Student Registration

 

  • Submit your pre-registration application using our New Student Registration Form.
  • Look out for an email from Alma. It will have instructions to activate your parent account (if you need one). It will have information on using the parent portal and completing the registration forms.
  • You will need these items for registration:
    • Proof of residency if claiming residence within Telluride School District (see Form A for accepted documents)
    • Student’s birth certificate
    • Report cards or transcripts from schools previously attended (the district may request data from previous schools)
    • Health Inventory form / Inventario anual de salud del estudiante – For more information, check the Health Forms here on our District website.
    • Immunization records
    • Standardized test data (the district may request data from previous schools).
  • New student registration needs these five forms completed: 
    • Form A - Demographics and Contacts
    • Form B - Race, Ethnicity, Home Language Survey
    • Form C - Health Information
    • Form D - Previous Enrollment and Records Release
    • Form E - Consent and Acknowledgment of Agreements
  • After enrolling, sign up in Titan. Follow these instructions: English/Spanish.

 

IMPORTANT: If you have an Alma parent account, do NOT create a new one. You can recover your username or reset your password on the portal login page by clicking the "Forgot username or password?" If you are new or unsure, email our Help Desk. They can check for you. They can help you make an account and link it to your student(s) if needed.

Returning Student Registration

 

(For currently enrolled students who are continuing in the 2026/2027 school year)

 

Since we are transitioning to Alma, you will need to ask for early access to the system if you have already missed the deadline. To receive early access to Alma, please submit a ticket to our helpdesk.

After submitting a ticket to activate your account, please follow these instructions:

1. You will receive an activation email. Click the URL in the body of the email and notice the username for your account.
2. On the next screen, click "Forget password" and follow the steps on the next screen (add your username and email).
3. Wait to receive the next email and click the URL in the Forgotten Password email. Enter your new password and sign in.
4. Click on your profile and select Alma Start.
5. Click on your student on the left-hand side.
6. Begin a new process or click into an active process.
7. Fill out and complete the forms!
 

  • Items you will need to complete registration:
    • If residency has changed in the last year, proof of residency must be uploaded – see registration Form A for types of documents accepted
    • Immunization records and OTC form for students 12 years and older. Please complete if there have been any changes to your student’s medical records.
  • Continuing student registration includes three forms to be reviewed and completed:
    • Form A - Demographics and Contacts
    • Form B - Race, Ethnicity, Home Language Survey (optional)
    • Form C - Health Information (optional)
    • Form E - Consent and Acknowledgment of Agreements
  • Forms A, C, and E for Continuing Student Registration are reset each year prior to registration kickoff. Alma will automatically populate those fields it can, and the remainder will be blank.  Please fill in all blank fields and review and revise all pre-populated fields before submitting.

Withdrawal Information

If you are not returning to TSD for the 26/27 school year, please inform the appropriate administrative assistant and complete the withdrawal form.
