Colorado law requires all students attending schools in the state to be vaccinated against specific diseases as outlined by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), with exemptions allowed under certain conditions.
Please provide your child's immunization record to the front desk or school nurse's office before the school year begins; this can include records from out-of-state or international providers or assistance with the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS). If your child is not vaccinated for the required immunizations, you must provide a signed Certificate of Nonmedical Exemption or complete the Online Immunization Education Module. Medical exemptions are also accepted, and a 2-week notice of exclusion may be issued if proper paperwork is not provided, potentially barring your child from school attendance.
For more information on school-required vaccine exemptions visit the CDPHE website.
