The Telluride Marshal’s Department recognized and thanked Superintendent John Pandolfo, TMHS Principal Sara Kimble, and TMHS Counselor Alex Jones for their tireless work in helping raise the youth of our community and making Telluride and our schools a better place.
Since creating the SRO (School Resource Officer) program, the Telluride Marshal’s Department has witnessed countless labors of love and parenting responsibilities that the community has placed upon the District.
Whenever a team comes together and achieves this level of success you must always examine how. How were they able to achieve this outcome when faced with such stressful and abnormal circumstances? The answer lies with their leadership, John Pandolfo. John has created a culture within his district that allows him to trust and empower his people to handle anything thrown at them. John leads by example, through his own words and actions, by never making decisions based on what is easy, or what is hard…but by always doing what is right.
At the helm of TMHS is Sara Kimble. Sara helps to coordinate resources to make sure students are safe in school and at home. Thanks to Sara’s personal attention to matters, students are able to pursue their dreams and goals both academic, and personal. Alex Jones has an open-door policy which allows students to feel safe and heard. Thanks to this, students feel safe to speak with Alex if they were struggling or needed help.
The Telluride School District has always been an incredible resource for this community. Their commitment to providing our children with the highest quality education is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their daily impact.

2025-2026 Academic Planning
|
TMHS School Counselors Alex Jones and Jenni Ward will be hosting walk-in planning information sessions on February 25th (Conference Day) at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the Middle High School Library. The focus will be on informing parents on the what/who/where/when/why of our scheduling process for students to request courses for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an opportunity to ask specific questions about your child. If you can’t make it during that time you can schedule an appointment with either Alex or Jenni; they will be available on Conference Day in their offices.
We know not everyone will be able to make our sessions. In the month of March, we will still hold Academic Planning Nights specifically for upcoming 7th and 9th grade families, as well as provide further information to all families on course registration for all grade levels. These events will be in person and recorded to reach as many families as possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to ajones@telluride.k12.co.us and jeward@telluride.k12.co.us if you have any questions.
We will be holding an academic planning night for all incoming 9th grade parents and students on Wednesday, February 26th at 5:30 pm in the TMHS library. If you have students who are currently in grades 8 through 11, please feel free to join. We will cover many important topics including High School transitions, scheduling processes, graduation requirements, and postsecondary planning.
