Kindness week and the countdown to Thanksgiving
We had a great week and enjoyed the reminder to have kindness and empathy everyday. Students had a chance to enjoy hot cocoa and fill out a note of gratitude, kindness, empathy, and encouragement and they will be displayed in the front hall to remind us all to give kindness and look around us to gain it as well!

College Board National Recognition Awardees
At Telluride High School, seven students were awarded the National Rural Recognition Award: Jula Cieciuch, Bjorn Cristol, Wylee Drew, Hugh Hatcher, Lana Kenworthy, Luka Remec, and Robert Robinson. Bjorn Cristol was honored with a second award, the National Hispanic Recognition Award. The programs celebrate the hard work of thousands of high school students nationwide to help them showcase their strong academic performance.

Every year, students can verify their eligibility on BigFuture® during their sophomore or junior year. At the start of the next school year, students receive their awards for their communities to celebrate them and colleges to recruit them as they head back to school for their junior or senior year. Thousands of nonprofit colleges and organizations using College Board’s Student Search Service™ can connect with awardees during the recruitment process to share more about their postsecondary programs. For more information on College Board Recognition Programs, please visit collegeboard.org.
