Happy Friday and Hello Winter!!!
Well I truly feel that when the clocks changed on Sunday it also magically somehow became February! Burrrrr.
This snow is causing everyone to get ready for skiing and that 's a brilliant segue to remind you to register for Winter PE!!
I know and understand that you have received a lot of communication from the school this week. Thank you for being diligent and patient and we do what is best for all of our students, staff, and the school as a whole. We are so grateful to everyone for your support, understanding, and for being the best Miner Community!

Community note from Principal Kimble
I know this has been an emotional roller coaster of a week.

I know students and staff have had strong feelings on both sides about the election results ranging from scared to excited. We are doing our best as educators to put our own opinions aside and hold space for all opinions in the classroom.

I also am beyond grateful for the outpouring of support for the Calvo family; it is incredible to see our community come together to support the devastating loss they experienced.

To culminate the week, yesterday and today have been challenging. I would like to share with you all what I shared with staff earlier today about specific details.  I wanted to share some of the following reasoning for keeping some of the facts out; while it might not make you feel better it is what we have.

  • We are taking all our guidance from law enforcement and letting them take charge of information released to continue to keep everyone safe.
  • When things of this nature happen certain information is kept vague until they deem appropriate.
  • Some information will never be shared to continue to keep everyone safe and avoid copy cat cases.
  • There was also not a lot of black and white.

I am available to talk through anything with anyone who would like. My job is to create a safe and supportive community for all. Please reach out if you need anything; please also know our counselors are available to support all students.
